Every Infosource product is an instance of one engine: an ontology-grounded, provenance-first core designed to overlay existing systems rather than replace them, and to link every answer back to a source record. First applied in real-estate compliance tooling — now extending into scientific knowledge engines and spatial decision systems. Built by Infosource, an independent Australian software business; the first engine is live, with a demo open to try.
The same compiled-card pipeline powers a crystallography literature engine, real-estate compliance tools, and spatial decision systems. What changes between them is the ontology layer — the part that adapts to each domain. What stays constant is provenance: every answer is traceable to the record it came from.
A domain ontology gives the engine structure to reason over — so answers reflect how a field is actually organised, not just text similarity.
Every answer is linked to its source record. Nothing is asserted that can't be traced back to where it came from.
The engine sits on top of the systems an organisation already runs, rather than asking them to migrate off them.
Deployed on infrastructure you control, so you decide where your data lives.
One pipeline, re-pointed at each domain's corpus and ontology. Domain expertise lives in the ontology layer — the engine underneath stays the same.
Proven first on a real, in-use corpus — Professor R. J. Butcher's published crystallography papers — then re-pointed at new domains.
We show what's actually running. One literature engine is live; two real-estate tools are working MVPs we can demonstrate on request. Everything else is on the roadmap below.
● Available now
Natural-language search across a corpus of 1,970+ peer-reviewed X-ray crystallography papers (3,497 deposited structures) — Professor R. J. Butcher's published work. Every answer is returned with the citations it rests on, so you can check the source yourself.
The crystallography engine is one instance of the shared core. The same pipeline can be re-pointed at another author's body of work, or a whole subject area — that's the roadmap below.
● Available for demonstration
Compliant, audit-trail-first property listing reports, aligned to RESO Data Dictionary and LIXI2.
Side-by-side property comparison, RESO Data Dictionary aligned, with the same provenance trail behind every figure.
The same core, re-pointed at progressively broader corpora — and a set of applied spatial and research tools built on top of it. These are planned, not yet released.
Infosource products are built to conform to recognised standards and to draw on established, openly available data sources.
Standards & data sources Infosource conforms to or draws on. Listing here indicates conformance or use, not endorsement or a commercial partnership.
The crystallography engine is open to try now. For a real-estate tool demonstration or to discuss pointing the engine at your own body of work, request early access.
